Bobbing for Apples and Mesclun Salad


  • 10 cups Mesclun salad greens
  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds, toasted
  • 2 Gala apples, cored and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup crumbled Roquefort cheese
  • 2/3 cup dried cranberries
  • Port Vinaigrette (recipe follows)
  • Sea salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper

This is a perfect season salad for October when apples are at their best! Great as a first course for a Halloween dinner!


In a large salad bowl, toss together the greens, pumpkin seeds, apples, cheese, and dried cranberries. Toss with the port vinaigrette and season with salt and pepper to taste.
